2. Warehouse Setup

At LMJ, the storage system used in warehouses is the vertical storage system. All the internal movements for put away, picking and dispatch is done with stackers, forklifts, trolleys and hand pallet. For storage locations, the ABC classified coding is done.

4. Material Handling Equipments

Some type of material handling equipments used at LMJ for depot operations are:

  • Stackers – Stackers are used for conducting day to day operations in the warehouses. The stackers does the put away / picking of full / batch / rest pallets at various levels in the heavy duty racks.
  • Forklift – Forklifts carry out put away / picking tasks for cowls, etc. in the warehouses.
  • Shelving Trolleys – These trolleys are used for conducting the operations in the shelving area. These are also used to carry put away / picking of cases in the shelving area.
  • Hand Pallet Truck – This equipment is mainly used for ground level movements within the warehouse.


5. Outbound Logistics

  • Transportation Planning and Execution - Right from the flawless delivery of cargo by utilizing robust transportation planning software to assessing the best route & mode alternatives and to selecting the best equipment, LMJ’s systematic approach make in-roads and sets a milestone every time. As a part of the planning process, it accommodates scheduling constraints, manages the generation of documentation and arranges for speedy delivery. Similarly, each time the use of right equipment compatibility, safety, security, and legal and industry regulation compliance all are ensured.
  • Possessing more than 30 vehicles for the transportation needs, LMJ meets expert and timely services by providing proper mix of different modes of transportation to its clients.
  • Customer Service - Each of LMJ’s associates is assigned a dedicated MIC (Man-in-Charge), who is a trained logistics professional and is responsible for the proactive management of transportation and warehousing. LMJ’s MICs also provide clients with further visibility by providing both 27X7 access and status updates as requested.
  • Commercial Settlement – LMJ alleviates administrative challenges and labor costs by managing all freight payments, freight audit and claims processing on behalf of its clients. In the event where a claim needs to be filed, LMJ collects all proper documentation and cost information. In turn, depending on the technological capability of the client, LMJ sends invoices electronically.
